20 Weeks Old Today!!!

The 3rd picture is his imitation of Hobbs (from Calvin & Hobbs). How can he sleep like that?? Is that a Yoga Move??

WOW! Kaiser is 5 months old today! It seems like just yesterday that I crammed him into a carrier too small for him and drove home with him howling all the way. He fit into the carrier, he just didn't have much room. I didn't expect him to be so big at 8 weeks! Now I look at that little pet taxi next to him and just shake my head with my mouth hanging open.

I tried to get a few pictures of Kaiser in the back yard, but it was stinkin' HOT! Look at the grass already brown and dried up. Kaiser and I didn't stay outside very long. Enjoy the few pictures we got!

19 wks Old

Kaiser will be 19 weeks old tomorrow! He weighed 58.9 lbs at the vet's office. He LOVES riding in the car! He has been going to the dog park where he mostly stays by me, but he'll venture off to meet other dogs and come right back. An enthusiasticc friendly,medium sized mutt jumped up on my legs and Kaiser put his ears back and mooed at him! I gently said "off" and put the dog's paws off of me and Kaiser settled down. Here is Kaiser taking a nap when we returned. I tried to get close ups of his sabling coming in. And look at my foot next to his! I wear a 6 WW to give you an impression of how big my baby's feet are!

18 Weeks & Starting to get Dark!

My beautiful baby boy is getting darker! And he's losing his baby teeth and getting adult teeth in. See the close up of his mouth?

17 Weeks & Kaiser's First Pool!

I believe Kaiser is bigger than Autumn now. Not heavier, but definitely bigger! She's still the boss of the dogs though. We bought Kaiser a little pool to cool off in. The videos are of Kaiser checking the pool out. It didn't take long to get the hang of it!! See the fun second video. I couldn't help giggling! Enjoy!

Kayla, my daughter, was holding the camera and she walked around as much as we did so the video is jumpy. Sorry! She kind of held still toward the end! Then Kaiser made a B-line to the shade under a picnic table where he immediately got his leash tangled up. He's no dummy! He wanted to get out of the sun too!

16 Weeks & Dog Days of Denton

First, Kaiser weighed 50.0 Friday. Didn't have time to measure him! We went on our longest road trip yet....to Denton, TX, about a 5 hour drive (when you have to make pit stops). Kaiser did GREAT! He slept most of the trip, or had his head through the seats where the a/c vent could blow on his face.

We saw lots of dogs, kids, grown-ups and best of all, Anne and Zak and Leo and Kyrie!! Cody and his family were there too! And Kat came with Sadie. What a sweet little Pom! I wish now that I had brought Kody (my pom).

After the event on Friday, Greg and I were invited back to Anne and Zak's where we watched the dogs FINALLY get to play! No leashes to get tangled up in! Kaiser is used to playing with puppy-sized dogs so it took a while for him to get used to romping with the big dogs. Zak helped me get Kaiser into a pretty good stack for his first time! He's trying really hard to get the treat in Zak's hand because I hadn't fed him yet.

We all had an amazing time! This is definitely on our TO DO list for next year! Thank you and hugs galore to Anne and Zak for helping make this a great adventure! Sorry about the whiny teenagers I had to bring. Ugh, I wonder if there's a place to board kids around here!

15.5 Weeks Memorial Day with Shanny

Today my twin sis, Shannon, came over and we drove together to visit Mom's gravesite. She was really taken with Kaiser! Her two boys loved playing with Kaiser! She loves Kody a lot too. Here's a few pictures.
